Classified by function and purpose:
(1) Cut off type: such as gate valves, globe valves, plug valves, ball valves, butterfly valves, needle valves, diaphragm valves, etc. Cut off valves, also known as closed-circuit valves or globe valves, are used to connect or cut off the medium in pipelines.
(2) Check valve: such as check valve, also known as one-way valve or check valve. Check valve is an automatic valve that prevents the backflow of medium in the pipeline, prevents the pump and drive motor from reversing, and prevents the leakage of container medium. The bottom valve of the water pump for suction closure also belongs to the category of check valves.
(3) Safety related: such as safety valves, explosion-proof valves, accident valves, etc. The function of a safety valve is to prevent the pressure of the medium in the pipeline or device from exceeding the specified value, thereby achieving the purpose of safety protection.
(4) Regulating type: such as regulating valves, throttle valves, and pressure reducing valves, whose function is to regulate the pressure, flow rate, and other parameters of the medium.
(5) Diversion type: such as distribution valves, three-way valves, and drain valves. Its function is to distribute, separate or mix the medium in the pipeline.

Classified by nominal pressure:

(1) Vacuum valve: refers to a valve with a working pressure lower than the standard atmospheric pressure.
(2) Low pressure valve: refers to a valve with a nominal pressure PN ≤ 1.6Mpa.
(3) Medium pressure valve: refers to valves with nominal pressure PN of 2.5Mpa, 4.0Mpa, and 6.4Mpa.
(4) High pressure valve: refers to a valve with a nominal pressure PN of 10.0Mpa to 80.0Mpa.
(5) Ultra high pressure valve: refers to a valve with a nominal pressure PN ≥ 100.0Mpa.
