A solar pumping system is a photovoltaic pumping system that uses the electricity generated by a photovoltaic array to drive the water pump through a photovoltaic pumping inverter. The system mainly consists of a photovoltaic array, a photovoltaic pumping inverter, and a water pump.
Photovoltaic array, also known as solar cell module, mainly converts solar energy into electrical energy to provide working power for the load water pump motor.
A solar pumping inverter or controller is used to control and regulate the operation of solar water pumps. It uses the electrical energy generated by the solar array to drive the water pump and adjusts the output frequency in real time according to changes in sunlight intensity, so that the output power approaches the maximum power of the solar cell array.
Solar water pumps are divided into two series: DC water pumps and AC water pumps. The driving methods of DC water pump motors are divided into two categories: DC brushless motors and permanent magnet synchronous motors.
